Academic scholarships and grants are awarded to an incoming student based on her outstanding academic performance and personal achievements. Consideration for these awards is given to students who have an A average throughout middle school and have demonstrated high achievement on the TACHS exam. Eligible students must place Cathedral as their 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice in order to be considered for an academic scholarship or grant.
Students receiving an academic scholarship or grant are enrolled in our Honors Academy. As long as the student maintains a mimimum class average of 85% and remains in good disciplinary standing, the award will be renewed on a yearly basis.
This year, we are thrilled to annouce the first-ever Ursula Burns Scholarship Program at Cathedral High School. Ursula Burns, Class of 1976, is an esteemed graduate of Cathedral High School whose impact in business and in the lives of young women across the globe is truly unparralleled.
This scholarship is Cathedral's most prestigious award and includes fully-funded tuition and additional financial support for programmatic experiences outside of the classroom. Scholars will be defined by academic achievement, demonstrated financial need, and leadership potential. The program is intended to provide financial support, an expanded social network, and travel opportunities for highly motivated young women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
If you wish to be considered for this program, please indicate your interest on the admission application and submit your financial aid applications by December 10, 2024. If you are chosen as a final candidate, you may be invited to return to Cathedral High School for an in-person interview.
