• 9th Grade Tuition: $13,000 (ten monthly payments of $1,300 starting in July 2025 and ending in April 2026)

• Enrollment Fee: $200

• Student Activity Fee: $800 

Cathedral High School offers a comprehensive financial aid package to help make a Catholic education affordable and accessible to families from diverse backgrounds.

Cathedral High School offers both merit (scholarships) and need-based financial aid. Many of Cathedral’s scholarships are provided by various alumnae and organizations. 

Merit-based

At Cathedral, we believe in recognizing and rewarding students whose hard work and commitment to excellence make them especially poised to contribute to our vibrant school community.

Consideration for academic scholarship awards is given to students who demonstrate:

• Strong, consistent achievement throughout middle school
• An overall GPA of 85 or above
• Solid performance on the TACHS exam
• Genuine interest in Cathedral, shown by listing Cathedral as a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd choice on the TACHS exam and by staying engaged throughout the admissions process

Scholarships are not only a recognition of past achievement, but also an investment in each young woman’s future — affirming her potential to thrive at Cathedral and beyond.
Students must maintain a minimum average of 85% and remain in good disciplinary standing in order to renew their scholarship for the following school year. 

Need-based 

Through the generosity of alumnae, benefactors and friends of Cathedral, we are happy to provide financial aid packages to eligible students.

1. Families will answer a series of simple financial questions on the student enrollment application. This allows the school to provide families with an estimated financial aid amount at the time of acceptance. Please answer as accurately as possible as your income will be verified at a later date and significant discrepancies may result in changes in your award. 

2. Tuesday, January 22, 2026: At this time, families can begin to complete their financial aid verification applications on the FACTS Grant and Aid Portal. The deadline to submit financial aid applications is March 31, 2026. 

3. Once your financial aid application has been reviewed, you will be informed of your final award amount. 

4. To finalize your enrollment and financial aid package, please complete the Enrollment Packet through FACTS Family Portal. This is the final step in the admissions process and ensures your daughter’s seat is saved for the school year!

• Families must re-apply for financial aid each year. 

• Cathedral partners with FACTS to process all financial aid applications for a parent fee of $45. 

• As a courtesy, Cathedral High School reimburses this fee as a tuition credit on FACTS to newly registered students who remain enrolled through November 30, 2025. 

• While we do offer financial aid to most of our families based on need, please know that our financial aid funding occurs on a rolling basis and is limited. There are other sources of aid available through the Archdiocese and other programs, and we welcome any outside scholarships that your daughter has earned!

Cathedral Alumnae Grant: All students related to CHS alumnae will receive a $500 grant towards their tuition. 

Cathedral Sibling Discount: A family with two or more daughters at Cathedral High School will receive a tuition discount of one month tuition payment per child.  

Archdiocesan Faculty Discount: All teachers and principals working in schools belonging to the Archdiocese of New York who send their children to a member school are eligible for a tuition discount of $1,500 per child. 

• Student Sponsor Partners (SSP): Cathedral High School participates with the SSP program, an outside organization that provides high school students throughout NYC with financial and personal support. We provide a very limited number of SSP Scholarships. Please visit their website for more information.  

• Be A Student's Friend:  8th graders who attend a Catholic elementary school and receive "Be A Student's Friend" or Children's Scholarship Fund may continue to receive this scholarship at Cathedral by renewing their application through TADS at the appropriate time of 8th grade through the guidance of Inner City Scholarship.

• Please contact your middle school guidance counselor or principal for more information regarding other outside financial sources. Cathedral accepts all third party scholarships, grants and tuition assistance awarded to students entering Cathedral High School.
