Over the summer, two CHS Ambassadors invested their time as interns in our Admissions and Development offices! Dylin T. ’25 and Skyla A. ’25 reflected on their experiences and shared them with us below.
Dylin: “I deeply appreciated this summer internship opportunity! I've learned a lot about how important organization is behind the scenes in order to keep a system running efficiently. I also learned that people are deeply appreciative of authentic communication which allows for consistent relationships! I was surprised to see how many people continuously show love and support even after graduating from Cathedral. Going into senior year I plan on being more grateful to those who work behind the scenes to keep this school functioning for us!”
Skyla: “Over the summer I had the opportunity of being an intern at the school. Throughout my time here I developed interpersonal skills and learned to be more adaptable. I also learned not to be afraid to ask questions. Confusion is not a weakness, but an opportunity to enhance your knowledge. I was surprised by how much work the Admissions and Development teams undertook. Of course, I was aware that they had assigned tasks, but it is significantly more extensive and challenging than I anticipated. Going into senior year I'd like to keep this in mind. This might be my last year in highschool but it's just the beginning of my endeavors. I should appreciate the moment for what it is and what it could be.”
We are so grateful to Dylin and Skyla for giving of their time and talents this summer to support the work of our Development and Admissions and Enrollment Management teams! Thank you, ladies!
