Cathedral High School encourages each student to participate in at least one extracurricular sport or activity. We currently offer 8 varsity sports and 1 junior varsity team on various levels.
CHS is a member of the GCHSAA (Girls Catholic High School Athletic Association) and competes on the B division level.
In order to participate in sports, every student must have a valid NYC Sports Examination form on file prior to tryouts. Emails will be sent to the students and parents leading up to the tryout date. It is the responsibility of the parent to register their child and upload the appropriate documents (sports form).

Fall Sports, August-October
If you wish to participate in a fall sport you must be available to tryout during the third week of August. Practices lead students right into the school year.

Winter Sports, November-February
Tryouts for winter sports are usually held the first Saturday in November.
