Shared values and ethical principles in business, law, and finance create strong communities that promote both individual freedom and collective success.
Cathedral High School students closed their second full week of classes with a bustling and busy Club Fair! Out of twenty-three clubs, it was difficult to select only a few to showcase! We interviewed five to find out what they do and what upcoming events we can look forward to.
The Business, Finance, and Law Academy was pleased to welcome three finance professionals to speak to students about the power of hard work, the importance of staying true to your values, and the opportunities careers in international business provide to work alongside people of different cultures and backgrounds. Ms. Heather Orrico, Mr. Albert Arencibia, and Ms. Roselyn Fernandez are not only successful professionals but also proud parents of three children each!
Many people spend a lifetime trying to discover what they’re passionate about; Akaysha Palmer ’18 found her love for public service and passion for diplomacy as a Cathedralite! Akaysha’s story can inspire current students to set out boldly into their next adventures.
Ms. Chen earned her MFA in sculpture at Hunter College and is drawn to Cathedral’s mission of inspiring young women to reach their full potential. Ms. Corniell grew up in the Dominican Republic, studied psychology at NYU, and will be teaching the rich tradition and history of the Catholic faith in theology class!
Our Business, Finance, and Law Academy students have shifted into high gear with each of the classes producing admirable work.
Querida comunidad catedralicia,

Dear Cathedral community,
With one week complete, both the students and teachers are finding a rhythm. There is so much happening every day, it is important to stay organized! This is a good lesson for school and also for life, especially in New York City.
Dear Cathedral community,
First of all, I want to say both "thank you" and "please." Thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with the students of Cathedral High School in a variety of roles. This year, I will be teaching classes in our Business, Finance, and Law Academy, as well as 9th-grade religion. I also have the pleasure of being the moderator of the business club (FBLA) and co-coach of cross country alongside CHS parent Eric Ortiz.

Querida comunidad catedralicia,
Seniors cheered on the freshman class on Welcome Day as they walked up the stairs for the first time as Cathedralites. The day ended with a special bonding activity in each of the freshman homeroom groups.
Two seniors, Dylin T. ’25 and Skyla A. ’25, share their experiences from their summer internships volunteering in our Admissions and Development offices as CHS Ambassadors!
