Mary P. Dolciani Halloran '44 Mathematics Wing Dedication

On Wednesday, September 21, 2022 we will honor the legacy of our esteemed alumna Mary P. Dolciani '44 by dedicating the Mathematics Wing on the fourth floor of our school. This gift celebrates Mary and fosters future generations of mathematicians by incorporating new technology to enhance learning and provide professional development for Cathedral's math teachers. 

At a time when it was uncommon for women to enter the field, Mary excelled as a gifted mathematician and chair of the Hunter College Mathematics Department. She devoted her life to developing excellence in mathematics education through her own teaching, mentoring, and writing. The Mary P. Dolciani Halloran Foundation was established in her name to further the study of mathematics and mathematics education.
