Our very own Cathedral High School alumna, Ursula Burns ’76, was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal in an article highlighting CEOs who "start[ed] at the bottom of a company and climb[ed] to the very top.”
Ursula started her career at Xerox in 1980 as a summer intern, and remarks that when she started, “I didn’t know that we had a CEO.” After earning her masters in mechanical engineering, she returned to Xerox to work “in the research lab, business planning, the C-suite, global manufacturing and internal operations. Then she ran the whole company from 2009 to 2016.”
She shares that “having someone who understands the heart and soul of the place is valuable.” As an incredible benefactor of Cathedral High School and a constant inspiration to our alumnae, Ursula definitely understands the heart and soul of Cathedral. Congratulations on this honor, Ursula!
