Cathedral High School focuses on rigorous academic preparation for young women of diverse interests. CHS helps students from diverse backgrounds grow and develop into confident, independent, and responsible citizens. Regardless of a student’s starting point, Cathedral welcomes her and challenges her to fulfill her greatest potential.
CHS offers a challenging college preparatory curriculum that exceeds the New York State Regents standards and requirements. We’ve also partnered with St. Francis College and St. John’s University, so that students are able to earn college credits while attending college-level classes at Cathedral. Led by an exceptional faculty and administrative team, a wide range of academic opportunities are augmented by applied learning experiences and extra-curricular activities designed to inspire and promote success. Our hands-on guidance program assists students in finding the optimal colleges and financial aid packages.
Founded in 1995, our Medical Gateways program has become a solid pre-premed program for our young women interested in health and science. Medical Gateways augments students’ curriculum through a progression of specialized courses, as well as volunteer experiences and internships at some of New York City’s most prestigious institutions like NY Presbyterian Hospital.
